BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Burlington UM Family Services Auxiliary will once again bring the warmth and comfort of the holidays to the community with its 27th Annual Turkey Dinner Fundraiser on Friday, November 7.
The event will take place at the Burlington Campus, filling the air with the aroma of a traditional Thanksgiving feast while raising funds to support foster children and family support programs in the Beckley and Daniels areas.
Each year, residents eagerly look forward to this beloved event, often called the “Best Turkey Dinner in West Virginia!” The meal will feature roasted turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, stuffing, cranberry salad, rolls, and dessert — all homemade.
Meals will be available for dine-in, carry-out, and delivery from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4700 Robert C. Byrd Drive in Beckley. Prices are $15 for adults, $7 for children ages 6–12, and children under 6 eat free when dining in.
Guests can also visit the popular Country Store for homemade goods and crafts.
All proceeds will benefit Burlington UM Family Services, a nonprofit organization founded in 1913 as the Star of Hope Children’s Refuge in Mineral County.
The organization now offers a wide range of services, including residential treatment, foster care, adoption, transitional living, Safe at Home, Right from the Start, and sober living programs.
“Our mission is to change lives by preventing harm and providing hope and healing to hurting children and families,” said a Burlington spokesperson. “Events like this dinner bring the community together in support of that mission.”
The Auxiliary invites everyone to join in on November 7 and be part of a long-standing tradition that brings joy, warmth, and hope to families across southern West Virginia.
