BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is facing multiple charges after police say he injured a woman and a 7-month-old child during a violent domestic disturbance on Friday, August 8, 2025.
Officers responded to the scene to find a broken driver’s side window on a vehicle and two victims — an adult woman and an infant — bleeding from their injuries. The suspect, identified as Jeremiah Hatcher, was reportedly intoxicated and acting erratically.
According to police, Hatcher admitted to kicking through the car window after an argument, causing glass to injure the victims. The woman told officers she was attempting to leave with her child when Hatcher broke the window and began hitting her.
Records show Hatcher has prior convictions for domestic battery in 2021 and 2022. He is now charged with two counts of third-offense domestic battery, destruction of property, and child neglect causing injury.
Hatcher was transported to Southern Regional Jail
