BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Tuesday’s meeting of the Raleigh County Commission saw, among other things, the approval of two new employees for the county.
Specifically, the employees in question are the newest recruits for the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office, with Sheriff Jim Canaday having been on-hand for Tuesday’s meeting at which the individuals were presented for consideration.
The first new member, Deputy Thomas Bratcher, arrived by way of the United States Marine Corps, and officially began his career with the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.
Deputy Colton Bare was also considered during the session and saw approval as a new Sheriff’s Office employee. Funds were present in the county budget to accommodate the hiring of both new employees, and motions for both approvals passed through the commission.
