BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man is arrested after taking a baseball bat to his ex-girlfriend’s car at Beckley ARH.
According to Beckley Police, on October 27, 2021, officers responded to a call of a black male in a red hoodie who was hitting a black car outside the ER with a baseball bat. Â Once police arrived, security had the suspect, Leeandre White, detained inside a room in the R. Â Police observed a black car with a busted windshield and multiple dents all around the vehicle.
When police spoke to the victim, she told them that White was her ex-boyfriend and dropped him off at the hospital due to him having some mental problems. Â When Mr. White found out that she was only dropping him off and not staying with him, he got mad and grabbed a baseball bat out of the car and started hitting it. Â The suspect also gave the same story. Â Police found a small bag of marijuana in his front hoodie.
White is charged with destruction of property, domestic assault, possession of a controlled substance. Â He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 4,000 dollar bond.
