BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Beckley man was sentenced Monday, June 30, 2025, to four months in federal prison for escaping from a residential reentry facility, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of West Virginia.
Kishaun Andre Jones, 25, was also sentenced to three years of supervised release following his prison term.
According to court documents, Jones walked away without permission from Dismas Charities Inc., a Bureau of Prisons residential reentry center located in St. Albans, on August 2, 2024.
At the time, Jones was serving part of his sentence for a previous conviction for distribution of methamphetamine, handed down on February 23, 2023.
Law enforcement located and arrested Jones in Greenbrier County on January 14, 2025.
Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston announced the sentence and commended the efforts of the United States Marshals Service and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office for their work in the case.
Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk imposed the sentence. Assistant United States Attorney D. Keith Randolph prosecuted the case.
