MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Ohio man is facing charges after authorities say a firearm discharged during an altercation at a short-term rental in Monongalia County, injuring another man.
Monongalia County 9-1-1 received a report at approximately 10:16 a.m. Thursday of an argument between two men at a short-term rental on Chestnut Ridge Road.
Authorities said one of the men, identified as Cameron Hall of Ohio, allegedly produced a firearm and struck the victim in the face with the weapon.
During the altercation, the firearm discharged, grazing the victim in the shoulder before the bullet struck a parked vehicle. No bystanders were injured by the gunfire.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the incident.
Hall was charged with wanton endangerment and malicious assault and was being arraigned in Monongalia County Magistrate Court.
The West Virginia State Police and Monongalia County EMS responded to the scene.
