BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley Omelet Shoppe addressed social media rumors this week regarding the possible sale of the longtime Raleigh County restaurant.
In a statement posted online, the restaurant responded to speculation that it is being purchased by a coffee shop company to construct a new location.
“First of all we want to thank all of our customers for the outpouring of support and concern over the last 24 hours about the future of the Beckley Omelet Shoppe,” the statement reads. “At this moment in time there is no signed agreement to sell the Omelet Shoppe.”
The restaurant said ownership has discussed the possibility of a sale internally but emphasized that no deal has been finalized.
“The owners have spoken to the employees about the possibility of this happening to be transparent with them, and completely intend to be transparent with all of our customers if a sale does occur,” the statement continues.
Management also confirmed that operations remain unchanged for now.
“Right now the Omelet Shoppe is still open 24/7 362 days a year until further notice. We appreciate your patronage. Our customers and employees are our number one priority. Check back with us here on our Facebook page for updates.”
The restaurant did not provide additional details about any potential buyers or timeline.
