BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One of the city’s biggest annual events is returning this fall, as Beckley’s 34th Annual Chili Night is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. in downtown Beckley.
The event will feature the popular chili competition, live entertainment on multiple stages, children’s activities, and a block-party atmosphere that draws thousands each year.

Restaurants, businesses, organizations, and schools are invited to participate in the chili competition.
Registration for chili participants and other booths remains open until September 15, or until all spaces are filled. Booth details and registration forms are available at Beckley.Events under the “documents” section, or by calling 304-256-1776.
Chili entries must meet health department requirements, with participants required to hold health cards and, in some cases, permits.
Each booth will serve samples in exchange for tickets, which attendees purchase at a cost of $5 for five tickets and a People’s Choice voting coin.
Tickets will be sold online and at the Youth Museum beginning the week prior to the event, as well as during the first two hours of Chili Night.
Awards, including trophies and cash prizes, will be presented to winners in several categories.
Booths are often decorated and may feature games or other attractions, while limited spaces are available for non-chili vendors and food trucks.
This year’s entertainment lineup includes Verdeant at the Rising Cardinals sculpture from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by Bragg and Mann from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Jim Snyder is coordinating performances at the Word Park and Main Street stages, which will showcase Gracie Bower, Lacy Farmer, StreetHeat, Heavy Hitters, and a Refit demo.
Shoemaker Square is open for a gospel or praise band, and interested groups are encouraged to contact Beckley Events.
Children’s activities, including a bounce house and slide, are also planned.
Chili Night serves as a fundraiser for Beckley Events and remains a long-standing fall tradition in the community.
