Betty graduated from Athens High School in 1954. She married Charlie Howell in 1957. The couple was blessed with two wonderful children. Betty was a devoted mother, wife and friend. She was known for being dedicated, hardworking and strong-willed. Betty enjoyed spending time with her husband doing home projects, solving puzzles and traveling. Her family will always remember her cooking and the times spent together. Betty was of Christian Faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Howell.
Survivors include two children, Donna Beane and Gary Howell and wife Vanda; five grandchildren, Rebecca Anderson, Gene Anderson, Matthew Ford and wife Jenee, Jesse Howell and wife Nicole and Heather Howell; twelve great grandchildren, Summer Fowler and husband Tyler, Katie Jordan and husband Isaac, Olivia Anderson, Glen Anderson, Krystal Williams, Arianna Ford, Ariel Howell, Emily Howell, Billy Jr, Theodore, Oliver and Murphy; and two great, great grandchildren, Levi Fowler and Gracie Fowler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Tom Carpenter officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Betty’s life.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Fowler, Dylan Stauffer, Isaac Jordan, Gene Anderson, Glen Anderson and Matt Ford.
