HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Local brewery and eatery, Black Sheep Burrito & Brews has announced plans to close its Huntington location after more than a decade of serving the local area.
The news was first announced over the weekend by way of a social media post from Black Sheep Burrito & Brews detailing issues on the business side which ultimately led to the decision to close down the establishment’s Huntington restaurant.
“Black Sheep Huntington will be shuttering its business,” read the statement in part. “It has been a great pleasure serving you. We have great memories carrying us through our reluctant, but necessary decision.”
It has been indicated that Black Sheep of Huntington – a sister establishment to the Black Sheep Charleston location, which reportedly will remain active – will close up shop following its final day of business on December 22, 2024.
“Unfortunately with business decline, the restaurant has been deemed inoperable and must close its doors,” the announcement continued. “But when one door closes, another opens. You have not seen the last of us. Stay tuned for future announcements.”
While confirming that the establishment’s Charleston location will indeed remain open to customers still looking to get their hands on a signature burrito or brew, the announcement also implied that additional developments could be forthcoming with regard to the soon-to-be shuttered Huntington eatery.
Black Sheep went on to extend gratitude to supporters of the establishment and encourage customers to continue visiting Black Sheep of Charleston.
“For our Black Sheep die hards, do not fret, our Charleston location is still in full swing and as always you can visit Bahnhof or The Loud for a Bad Shepherd brew. Thank you to all of our customers over 13 years of business in Huntington!”
