MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic dispute turned violent in the early hours of July 24, 2025, leaving a man injured and a woman facing felony charges.
According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were called to Princeton Community Hospital at around 3:18 a.m. after Christopher Sizemore arrived with a cut to his wrist. Sizemore told Deputy W.C. Morrow that his wife, Ladeana Morgan, attacked him with a straight razor following an argument at their home on Littlesburg Road in Bluefield.
Sizemore said Morgan had been drinking heavily throughout the evening and was emotionally distraught over the recent passing of her uncle. After a back-and-forth through text messages, Sizemore returned home around 2:00 a.m. to retrieve his dog. The argument escalated when he threw water on Morgan to “calm her down.” He said Morgan began throwing his belongings into the yard and threw items at him, including a blood pressure monitor.
Sizemore told deputies that Morgan then grabbed a straight razor, opened it, and swung it at him, cutting his right wrist. He fled the home, called his sister, and was driven to the hospital.
Deputies later responded to the residence and made contact with Morgan, who admitted there had been a fight. She gave deputies permission to enter the home, where they observed broken glass and other signs of a struggle. Morgan claimed Sizemore had broken her phone during the altercation.
Morgan was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Domestic Battery. She was processed at the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and transported to the Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment.
Photos of Sizemore’s injuries and the scene were documented as part of the investigation.
