WELCH, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A body was found inside a home in Welch, and an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death, according to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said the death does not appear to be suspicious at this time. The West Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has been notified and is involved in the investigation.
The identity of the deceased will not be released until after next of kin have been notified, according to the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.
