Lindside – James Monroe placed five players in double figures to knock off regional rival Greenbrier West 84-56 in a battle of top-5 teams Tuesday.
Leading by nine at the break, the Mavs outscored the Cavaliers 27-9 in the third quarter to pull away for the win.
Eli Allen led James Monroe with 24 points and Shad Sauvage added 19. Collin Fox chipped in 13, while Cameron Thomas and Josh Burks scored 12 points apiece.
Michael Kanode led the Cavaliers with 16 points. Chase McClung scored 15 and Dale Boone had 11.
James Monroe travels to Valley (Wetzel) Friday, while Greenbrier West will host Mercer Christian in a varsity only contest at 7 p.m.

Summers County 55, Meadow Bridge 53
Hinton – Summers County outscored Meadow Bridge 18-6 in the third period to erase a 10-point halftime deficit en route to a 55-53 win over the Wildcats.
Cruz Testerman led the Bobcats with a game-high 21 points and Ethan Erenberg added 10. Duke Dotson scored eight and Bryson Keaton added seven for Summers.
Seaton Mullins led the Wildcats with 19 points and Rian Cooper scored 17 points. Connor Mullins had eight for Meadow Bridge who hosts Pocahontas County Friday.
Summers County travels to Richwood Thursday.
