ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was arrested Wednesday after refusing to leave a Randolph County property.
As reported by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, Deputies responded to the Kimble Ln area of Elkins regarding a potential breaking and entering in progress.
Upon arrival, Deputies were able to locate the red structure described which was located in a field behind the Randolph County Children’s Advocacy Center.
Deputies knocked on the door of the structure, announcing their presence and instructing anyone inside to exit.
A male subject identified as Marty Price exited the building at which time Deputies made contact.
The subject stated that he did not know who owned the property and stated that no one owned the building he had just been inside.
The subject was placed in hand restraints upon becoming very confrontational and argumentative.
Contact information for the property owner was located by Deputies and contact was made. The owner of the property advised that Price did not have permission to be on the property and that he wanted the subject to leave.
When advised that he was being trespassed from the property, the subject stated that he would not be leaving, and refused to do so several time while continuing to be uncooperative and hindering law enforcement.
The subject was eventually detained and transported to Tygart Regional Jail to await arraignment.
