BRIDGEPORT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Bridgeport High School’s John Reese was honored this week for his outstanding efforts as an educator.
Reese was acknowledged during a regular session of the Harrison County School District for the distinct honor of having been named the Special Education Mathematics Teacher of the Year.
The honor, issued by members of the West Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics, was addressed by a statement from the Harrison County School District.
“We’re thrilled to announce that tonight at our Regular Meeting, we had the honor of celebrating John Reese, an exceptional teacher at Bridgeport High School,” read the statement.
“John has been named the 2024 Special Education Mathematics Teacher of the Year by the West Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics. Join us in congratulating John for this well-deserved recognition!”
Along with his notable work as an educator inside the classroom, Reese is also known to impart knowledge on the field, having served as a soccer coach at Bridgeport High School.
