Caleb Tyler Blankenship, 23, of Rock View, WV, went home to be with the Lord and be with his Pawpaw’s on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at CAMC General, Charleston, WV due to a tragic accident.
He was born June 30, 2000 in Charleston, WV the son of Randy Lee and Paula Jean Compton Blankenship of Rock View, WV.
Caleb practiced Karaite Judaism, and earned his associates degree in Early Childhood Education. He was interested in teaching music and history, but decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. He lived his life always worrying about others instead of himself.
He was an Organ Donor. A fourteen year old child has received his heart, his organs will save eight people and his tissue will save fifty people.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Lonnie E. and Madgeline Compton and Timothy Reed.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving wife Ruby Kay Brown Blankenship, his grandparents Lonnie Paul and Rhonda Compton of Marianna, Betty Cook of Beckley and Tommy and Cathy Webb of Pikeville, KY, two uncles James Lonnie Paul Compton and wife Christy of Rock View and Michael Blankenship of Beckley, a special uncle Dean Compton of Wyoming, his father-in-law Richard Brown of Pineville, and a host of other loving family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV.
