ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Officials are warning the public of card skimmers after one was found at a West Virginia Kroger Friday morning.
According to the City of Elkins, a credit card skimmer was detected and discovered at the Elkins Kroger in Randolph County this morning.
The City of Elkins says the skimmer may have been active since Saturday, June 15.
If you used self-checkout within this timeframe at this Kroger location, you are urged to check your statement for suspicious charges.

To reduce your chance of being victimized by a skimmer, the FBI recommends using Tap-to-pay or digital payment methods such as Apple, Samsung, or Google Pay.
