Greenbrier West 20, Summers County 6
Hinton – Greenbrier West bounced back from a week one loss with a 20-6 win on the road at Summers County.
Ty Nickell ran for 121 yards and one touchdown and Cole Vandall added a score from one yard out. Vandall also tossed a touchdown pass to Chase McClung that covered 42 yards.
Andre Merriam-Harshaw led the Bobcats with 108 yards on the ground and scored their only touchdown.
Greenbrier West (1-1) hosts James Monroe Friday, while Summers County travels to Shady Spring next on Sept. 11 for a 3 p.m. kickoff.
