PENCE SPRINGS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Greenbrier County man faces a number of charges following a domestic altercation which took place last week.
Trooper First Class J.C. Woods Jr. of the West Virginia State Police Department reports that on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, Woods and Trooper Ware were informed of a domestic altercation by Greenbrier County Deputies which took place at 117 Elinor Drive in Pence Springs, West Virginia.
Deputies advised Woods that the victim, Teresa Morgan, was located at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center receiving medical care following a domestic altercation with her husband, identified as Jason Morgan.
Trooper Dowdy made the trip to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center to speak with the victim who advised that the accused had pushed her against a wall and choked her to the point that air and blood flow was stopped, causing her to nearly lose consciousness.
It was also disclosed that the victim had been pushed to the ground by the accused, resulting in injuries to the victim’s ribs due to having fallen over furniture.
Trooper reports indicate that during the victim’s time at the medical facility she was receiving messages from the accused advising that he would kill her.
Trooper Woods, along with Trooper Ware, travelled to the residence of the accused where the accused was found to be in possession of a small caliber pistol. The accused reportedly declared that all he had done was push the victim against the wall.
Nonetheless, Jason Morgan now faces charges of Domestic Assault, Domestic Battery, Unlawful Wounding, and Strangulation according to the official criminal complaint as submitted by law enforcement.
