SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Children’s author and cartoonist, Theodor Seuss Geisel, widely known by his penname, Dr. Seuss, became one of the most beloved children’s authors in American history during his lifetime.
In acknowledgement of what would have been the author’s 120th birthday, the Nicholas County Board of Education is encouraging young readers to come together for a special Children’s Literacy Event on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
The event will take place at Nicholas County Veteran’s Memorial Park in Summersville, WV, and will feature art, literacy and math activities, a read aloud, prizes, and free books.
Held in association with the Nicholas County Board of Education and Save the Children, the event will be held from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
