Charles Mack, 92 of Lashmeet died Friday, April 30, 2021. Born April 25, 1929 at Weyanoke he was the son of the late Frank Mack and Mae Short Mack.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed gospel music. Charles was retired from Peabody Coal Company in Herndon and a member of UMWA Local 9781.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Mary Shrewsbury; sisters, Ruth Akers, Maryline Bailey, Ruby Hodges; three brothers, Carl Short, Paul Mack and Darrrell Mack.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mildred Lusk Mack; son, Steve Mack and his companion Sissy of Beartown; daughter, Karen Martin and husband Thomas of Pinoak; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with Rev. Tommy Martin officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may visit from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home.
