HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – This year, the Mayor of Hinton and all four Hinton City Council seats are up for election.
The positions of Mayor of Hinton and all four of the Hinton City Council seats are up for reelection on May 14, 2024. Candidates can begin filing the municipal certificate of announcements with the City Manager on January 8th, and they will be accepted until January 27th.
Filing fees for the City Council are $60.00; for the Mayor, it is $430.96.
Forms can be picked up at City Hall or printed from the WV Secretary of States website.
Currently, the mayor of Hinton is Jack Scott. City Council members are Pat Jordan, Roberta “Bobbi” Sorg, Larry Meador, and Jim Leslie. It’s not known if they are running for reflection yet.
Regular City Council Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the Third Tuesday of every month at Hinton City Hall
