OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The City of Oak Hill has reopened and extended the application period for its City Manager position as officials continue searching for a candidate to serve as the city’s chief executive officer and head of the administrative branch.
The position offers an annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
City officials also announced a recent change to the position’s residency requirements following an amendment to the City Charter. The City Manager may now reside either within the City of Oak Hill or within two miles of the city’s municipal boundary.
According to the city, applicants must have at least five years of progressively responsible senior-level managerial experience within a governmental entity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic plans, managing the city’s multi-million-dollar public budget, and supervising most full-time city departments.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026.
