PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – This Tuesday, the City of Princeton will play host to a select few of the bravest and hungriest patriots in Mercer County as the city’s Second Annual 4th of July Hot Dog Eating contest gets underway.Â
The annual event is set to take place at Hunnicutt Field on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, and will begin at 11:30 a.m.Â
Trophies will be awarded for the first, second, and third place winners in the competition.
Only thirteen competition slots are open, and information regarding registration for the contest can be obtained by contacting Danny Shingleton by phone at (304) 487-2000 or by email at shingleton@princetonwhistlepigs.com.
The Princeton WhistlePigs will also be facing off against the Pulaski River Turtles on Tuesday, with the game kicking off at 1:00 p.m.
Those in the area can also look forward to the City of Princeton’s 4th of July Celebration event which will feature several live bands, food trucks, contests, vendors, activities, fireworks, and more.
