BECKLEY, W.V. (LOOTPRESS) – During Tuesday evening’s meeting, the Raleigh County Commission approved and awarded the bid for the new Raleigh County Sheriff’s Department building.
The bid was awarded to Beckley-based company Radford and Radford.
Sheriff Scott Van Meter said the construction for the new building will begin in March of this year and will be located behind the DMV located on Pinecrest Drive.
The sheriff expressed his excitement for the new building, stating that it will be great for the department.
Contractors estimate that the construction of the building will take around a year and a half to complete.
