BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) — Community Connections, Inc. is excited to announce the grand opening of the Apt. 40 Community Center, a new drop-in resource center created to provide free resources, activities, and support to residents of Tiffany Manor in Bluefield.
The community is invited to celebrate the opening with a Grand Opening Ice Cream Party on Friday, October 2, from 3:00–6:00 p.m. at 1600 Hill Avenue, Apartment 40, Bluefield, WV.
During the event, residents can tour the new center, learn about available programs and services, sign up to participate, meet those involved with the project, and enjoy free ice cream.
The Apt. 40 Community Center was developed by Community Connections, Inc. in partnership with the Bluefield Housing Authority to create an accessible, welcoming resource directly within the Tiffany Manor community. The center is designed to respond to the everyday needs of residents while providing a safe and positive environment for children, teens, and adults.
Services and resources planned for the center include a clothing closet, hygiene products, food and snacks, computer and internet access, youth activities, school supplies, homework assistance, community workshops, and a safe space for children and families. Additional programming will continue to develop based on the needs and interests of Tiffany Manor residents.
Community Connections is also seeking donations and volunteers to help stock the new center and expand the services it can provide. Current donation needs include hygiene products, new or gently used clothing and shoes, toys, school supplies, and nonperishable food.
Volunteers are especially needed to assist with after-school tutoring and daytime operations. Individuals, businesses, churches, civic groups, and other community organizations interested in supporting the project are encouraged to get involved.
