PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Community Connections, Inc. is hosting a Hygiene Drive from now through Thanksgiving to support individuals and families in need throughout Mercer County.
With the colder months approaching and the ongoing government shutdown creating financial uncertainty for many residents, the need for essential hygiene products is high. Community Connections invites the public to join in this effort by donating new hygiene items of any size — including travel-sized products often collected from hotel stays.
Accepted donations include:
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Soap and body wash
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Feminine hygiene products
- Lotion, razors, and other personal care items
Donations can be dropped off at any Mercer County Blessing Boxlocation or at Community Connections, Inc. (215 S. Walker Street, Princeton, WV 24740), Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Collected items will be distributed to local blessing boxes and shared with area agencies serving residents in need.
“This drive is a simple yet powerful way for our community to show compassion and solidarity,” said Greg Puckett, Executive Director for Community Connections. “Even small items can make a big difference to someone struggling to afford basic necessities this winter.”
Community members are encouraged to participate before Thanksgiving to help ensure supplies reach those most in need during the holiday season.
