SUMMERSVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Individuals interested in learning how to successfully write and submit grants are invited to attend an upcoming community education class, “Grant Writing: Writing Strategies and Methods for Writing and Submitting Grants,” at New River Community and Technical College’s Nicholas County Campus (NCC).
The class will be held on April 30 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the NCC in Summersville. The cost to attend is $30.
This course is designed to provide participants with practical instruction in effective grant writing. Attendees will learn key strategies and methods used in completing grant applications, helping them build confidence and improving their chances of securing funding.
Participants will receive a comprehensive notebook that includes:
- Examples of written grants
- Cover letters and letters of intent
- Budget forms
- Final reports
- Guidance on submitting grant applications
- A list of subject-specific vocabulary with definitions
The class will be taught by Barbara Crawford, a retired English teacher with extensive experience in grant writing. Crawford holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Glenville State College and a Master’s degree from West Virginia University. Throughout her career, she has successfully secured numerous grants from local, state, and national organizations and foundations.
This course is ideal for educators, nonprofit professionals, community leaders, and anyone interested in developing grant writing skills.
