ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Concord University has announced its 2024 Homecoming events schedule, welcoming alumni and community members to partake in the festivities.
The 2024 Concord University Homecoming Parade will kick things off at 6:00pm on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Spectators will take to the streets to observe as the parade procession makes its way through Vermillion Street. This will be followed by the Homecoming bonfire at 7:00pm.
The following day, Friday, October 18, 2024, CU After Hours: Homecoming will be hosted by the Concord University Alumni Association from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at University Point. Alumni Awards will be presented to Jonathan Gore – Young Alumnus of the Year – Kara Dense – Outstanding Alumnus of the Year – Eddie Adkins – Alumnus of the Year – and Paul Hodges – Golden Alumnus.
On Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 9:00am, the 50-year reunion for Concord’s Class of 1974 will be held at the Alumni Lounge at University Point on Concord’s campus. Kegs & Eggs will run from 10:00am to 1:00pm at University Point.
The Concord University Mountain Lions will take on Glenville State at 1:00pm on Saturday as part of the annual Homecoming football game matchup. Tickets for the game will be available for purchase at the gate.
