ATHENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Concord University student was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly brandishing a knife during an altercation near a campus residence hall, according to university officials.
Concord University Police Chief Mark Stella informed students that campus police responded to an altercation near South Towers Residence Hall involving two students.
“One student was arrested for brandishing a knife during an argument with a second student. No injuries were reported. There is no imminent threat at this time,” Stella said in the message.
No additional details about the student arrested or potential charges were immediately provided.
“The safety of this campus remains our priority, and we are committed to keeping you informed about incidents that may affect our campus community,” Stella said.
