BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Congresswoman Carol Miller has reiterated her support for Donald Trump as a 2024 presidential candidate and, in a rare moment of alignment with current President Joe Biden, has supported the president’s decision not to seek re-election.
Miller spoke on the situation last week when she made her way to Raleigh County to speak at the Offices of the Raleigh County Commission in remembrance of late former Commission President, Dave Tolliver.
The Congresswoman praised the public servant’s commitment to the county and his adamancy in pushing for more effective infrastructure for his constituents.
LOOTPRESS caught up with the congresswoman following the floor presentation to discuss the legacy left behind by Tolliver as well as recent developments in the national political realm. The conversation moved to President Joe Biden’s decision not to seek re-election in the 2024 Race, a decision which the Republican Congresswoman characterized as a positive development.
“It’s a good thing,” said Congresswoman Miller. “To everything there is a season and he’s making the right decision.”
Miller also noted former President Donald Trump’s capacity for leadership, expressing a desire to see the Republican candidate return to the White House as President.
“I have supported President Trump since the beginning. He is a strong leader and what we need right now in the White House is the strength that he provides,” said Miller. “He has been a man of great vision, and the world’s leaders respected him. I’m ready for President Trump to take the helm once again and lead us forward once again as the world leaders that we are.”
Since the news of Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 race, current Vice President Kamala Harris has gained the support of many democratic voters. Trump, however, has discouraged Republicans from harboring concern with regard to what he has called “the Harris Honeymoon” period.
