ELKINS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Freshmen at Davis & Elkins College were welcomed over the weekend to the university’s new Glory Residence Hall, a state-of -the-art hall boasting one hundred beds as well as common and study areas.
Members of the Davis & Elkins College Class of 2028 received assistance from coaches, students, and staff of the college’s athletics department in transferring their belongings to the new housing hall from other campus housing.
Prior to the official opening of the state-of-the-art housing location, students, faculty, and staff of Davis & Elkins were encouraged to take a tour on Friday, to familiarize themselves with the new addition to campus.
In acknowledgement of “move-in day” on Saturday, a reception event was held in the lower-level common area which offered music, activities, and outdoor games hosted by the Davis & Elkins Student Government Association and Student Life Department. The very first residents of the new Glory Residence Hall gathered on Sunday to pose for a group photo in commemoration of the significant occasion.
