DAVIS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A guest has died at Timberline Mountain in Davis, according to a statement released by the resort.
“It is with profound sadness that we can confirm the death of a guest at Timberline Mountain on Sunday, January 4th,” the statement said. Resort officials extended condolences, adding, “We want to extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones affected by this devastating loss.”
The incident remains under investigation.
Timberline Mountain said no additional information is being released at this time, citing respect for the family’s privacy.
“In consideration for the family’s privacy, we ask for your patience and understanding that we have no further details to share at this time,” the statement said.
Resort officials emphasized that guest safety is their top priority and thanked first responders for their actions.
“Our priority is always the safety and well-being of our guests,” the statement read. Timberline Mountain also expressed appreciation for “our ski patrol, mountain staff, and local emergency services for their swift and professional response.”
