ORIGINAL STORY: The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the disappearance of two juveniles who ran away from New River Ranch Children’s Home in the Beckwith area, authorities said.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, the juveniles were last seen shortly before 1 p.m. Both are 15 years old and were wearing all black clothing at the time they were last observed.
The missing juveniles are identified as Christian Woodrum, who is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall with long curly hair, and Dale Humphrey, who is approximately 6 feet tall with short hair.
Authorities said one of the juveniles has known ties to Kanawha County, while the other has known ties to Ohio County.
Deputies conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area and located footprints leading in the direction of Gauley Bridge.
The footprints ended near a roadway, indicating the juveniles may have entered a vehicle or continued traveling by unknown means.
