ROBINSON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A North Carolina woman faces multiple charges following officer response to reports of an emergency in progress on Tuesday.
The Boone County Sheriff’s Office reports that, on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, deputies with the department responded to the Robinson area to address reports of an emergency call.
The reported emergency was ultimately determined to have been fraudulent in nature, and authorities were met with resistance upon responding to the scene.
An individual at the scene – identified as Cynthia Price, 56-years-old from Lexington, North Carolina – was found to have been in possession of a controlled substance at the time the events occurred.
Furthermore, subsequent charges indicate Price’s obstruction of the investigation conducted at the scene on Tuesday, as well as an apparent attack on a responding officer.
Following an investigation into the incident, Cynthia Price was arrested by deputies with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and faces charges of Falsely Reporting an Emergency Incident, Obstructing, Assault on an Officer, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
