GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Husband and wife arrested after a domestic dispute.
On Sunday, August 18th, 2024, around 6:20 PM, Lieutenant S. W. Hudnall and Corporal T. T. Hyatt of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department were sent by the Greenbrier County 911 Center to a domestic disturbance at 170 Hemlock Dr., Caldwell, WV 24925. The caller reported that his wife, Stephanie Boggs, had struck him in the face, resulting in bleeding.
Corporal Hyatt arrived at the location at about 6:27 PM. During the investigation, he spoke with the caller, Michael Dale Boggs, who had visible blood on him. Michael explained that he and his wife, Stephanie Carol Boggs, had been arguing and that she punched him. Corporal Hyatt noticed that Michael had the smell of alcohol on him and seemed to be under the influence.
Corporal Hyatt also spoke with Stephanie, who had blood on her face, likely from Michael. He observed that her neck was red, and she indicated that Michael had grabbed her neck before she punched him. Stephanie admitted that their argument had escalated into a physical confrontation. While talking with her, deputies noticed the smell of alcohol and that she also appeared to be impaired. She confirmed that both had been drinking and consented to a preliminary breath test, which showed signs of impairment.
Both Michael and Stephanie were arrested for domestic battery and taken to the Lewisburg Detachment of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department for processing. They were then transferred to Southern Regional Jail to await arraignment with a magistrate.
