FORT SPRING, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Authorities are currently seeking information regarding a drive-by shooting which took place late Sunday afternoon in the Fort Spring area of Greenbrier County.
According to the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department, on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at approximately 4:16pm, members of the GCSD Lewisburg Detachment were dispatched by the Greenbrier County 911 Center along with members of the West Virginia State Police Lewisburg Detachment to a call regarding shots which had been fired into a residence on Mt. Vernon Road in Fort Spring.
Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, investigating officers were able to locate two rounds which had been discharged into the residence.
Witnesses to the incident advised responding officers that a Silver Dodge pickup truck had been observed traveling in the area at the time the shooting occurred, and authorities believe that the shots were fired from the vehicle in question.
