FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – In response to a Winter Storm Warning predicting 6-8 inches of snow in Fayette County on January 19, 2024, an administrative order has been issued closing all courts until Monday.
The order designates January 19, 2024, as an emergency day.
The directive mandates the closure of all courts in Fayette County until January 22, 2024, or until further notice from the court.
Arraignments initially scheduled for January 19, 2024, are rescheduled to January 26, 2024, with Judge Ewing presiding at 9:00 A.M. and Judge Blake at 1:00 P.M.
Magistrates and Mental Hygiene Commissioners are instructed to fulfill their on-call assignments during this period.
Additionally, all filing deadlines are extended until normal court operations resume.
