CLARKSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An explosion caused by a gas leak in the Kramer Avenue area of Clarksburg has led to evacuations within a five-block radius as a safety precaution, according to city officials.
Authorities have urged residents to avoid the area while emergency responders assess the situation.

To assist those displaced, Robert C. Byrd High School has been designated as an emergency shelter.
