(LOOTPRESS) – Facebook is bringing back the magic of friendships with a brand-new Friends tab, designed to make connecting with your social circle easier than ever.
A Return to “OG” Facebook Experiences
Since its launch, Facebook has evolved to meet users’ changing needs, introducing features like Groups, Video, and Marketplace. However, the core experience of connecting with friends has taken a backseat. In an effort to restore that essence, Facebook is rolling out several “OG” features this year—starting with the revamped Friends tab.
What’s New in the Friends Tab?
Starting today in the United States and Canada, the Friends tab will display only content from your Facebook friends, including:
✅ Stories and Reels
✅ Posts and Updates
✅ Birthdays and Friend Requests
Previously, the Friends tab was used primarily for friend requests and People You May Know. Now, it serves as a dedicated hub for staying updated on your friends’ activities.
How to Access and Pin the Friends Tab
You can find the Friends tab in your navigation bar on the Home feed and within the Bookmarks section of the app. To pin it for easy access:
1️⃣ Tap your profile picture in the Home feed.
2️⃣ Select Settings & Privacy > Settings > Tab Bar.
3️⃣ Customize the bar and pin the Friends tab.
