PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A tragic utility terrain vehicle (UTV) accident in Mercer County early Monday morning claimed one life and left another person seriously injured, authorities said.
The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about a UTV crash around 2:10 a.m. near Pisgah Road in Princeton.
Deputies found that both the driver and a passenger had been ejected from the vehicle during the incident.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to sheriff’s officials.
The female passenger sustained serious injuries and was rushed by Princeton Rescue Squad to Princeton Community Hospital for treatment.
Investigators from the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office are working to determine the cause of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
