FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The highly anticipated Fayette County Christmas Toy Fund is set to take place on Saturday, December 16th, at the Lewis Christian Community Center from 9:00am to 12:00pm.
Organized by the Canyon Rim Rotary Club, this year’s event is expected to bring joy to over 600 children from Fayette County.
In response to the growing demand witnessed last year, the club foresees an even greater need this holiday season.
With the rising costs of toys, the club is calling for increased community support to ensure that every child in Fayette County experiences the magic of Christmas.
Canyon Rim Rotary Club coordinator, Dr. Cassie Ortiz, expressed pride in maintaining non-toy expenses under 3% annually.
Ortiz stated, “Any amount you could contribute toward that amount would go far to help brighten these kids’ holiday season.”
Ways to Get Involved:
- Donations: New, unwrapped toys or monetary contributions are welcomed. Donations can be made payable to the Fayette County Rotary Foundation with “Christmas Toy Fund” in the memo line. Contributions are tax-deductible, with an average cost of $30 to provide toys for one child.
- Volunteer Opportunities: The club seeks volunteers for set-up, clean-up, and toy distribution on the event day, as well as assistance during the preparation week.
For more information or to contribute, please contact Dr. Cassie Ortiz at New River Vision Care: 304-465-0269 or via email at canyonrimrotaryclub@gmail.com.
Donations can be mailed to Canyon Rim Rotary Club, PO Box 371, Fayetteville, WV 25840.

Those interested in assisting with the drive-through distribution on December 16th are encouraged to arrive at the Lewis Center by 8:30am.
