FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a pontoon boat from under the Montgomery Bridge.
According to Montgomery Police Department, in June of this year, an officer was advised that a pontoon boat belonging to Triton Construction was stolen from under the Montgomery Bridge. The foreman suggested that he went down to the boat ramp, and the boat was gone from the dock.
On June 3, the officer was dispatched to 4th avenue to recover a possible stolen pontoon boat. Once confirmed that the boat found was the one that was stolen, the officer found debit and credit cards belonging to two people. When the officer interviewed the two people whose debit and credit cards were found, they told them that Joel Querry told them it was his uncle’s; he had permission to use it and gave them a ride on it.
Joel Querry is charged with grand larceny. He is in Southern Regional Jail under a 5,000 dollar bond.
