FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Fayette County man is behind bars charged with arson.
According to a criminal complaint, Frederic Carter was throwing objects and trying to set them on fire. Police observed Carter acting aggressively and yelling while holding a pile of charred belongings in the front yard. Carter told police that two individuals had stolen his belongings, and in return, he had taken their belongings outside and set them on fire.
In the process of burning the two individuals’ belongings, there was structural damage that was caused by the fire.
Carter is charged with arson. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 100,000 dollar bond.
