LOOKOUT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Lookout man has been charged with felony drug offenses following a traffic stop in Fayette County, according to Sheriff Jess McMullen.
Around 1:00 p.m. on February 13, 2025, deputies were conducting routine traffic enforcement on Arrowwood Creek Road when they identified a driver known to have an invalid license.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop and, while speaking with the driver, observed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
A subsequent search uncovered a large quantity of suspected narcotics, packaging materials, and U.S. currency.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Joshua “JJ” Johnson of Lookout, was arrested and charged with felony possession with intent to deliver narcotics, along with multiple misdemeanor driving offenses.
Johnson is now awaiting further court proceedings.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department reminds the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
