FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Summer vacation has officially concluded, and students in Fayette County head back to the classroom tomorrow morning.
As students in Fayette County prepare to return to school, the Fayette County Deputy Sheriff’s Association (FCDSA) is emphasizing the importance of safety for both drivers and students.
Drivers are being reminded to be vigilant around school buses, never passing one when its lights are activated and the stop sign is extended.
Additionally, motorists should be mindful of speed changes in school zones and take extra care to watch for children in these areas.
Allowing extra time for commutes during the school year is also encouraged to ensure safe driving.
For students, the FCDSA is encouraging kindness and empathy, urging them to support their peers and be a friend to others.
Students are also advised to speak up if they notice something wrong and to stay focused on their education, maintaining a positive attitude throughout the year.
The FCDSA has wished all students a happy, healthy, and successful school year.
