GAULEY BRIDGE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Gauley Bridge woman has been arrested and charged with felony offenses following a shooting incident in Fayette County.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Jess McMullen, deputies responded on Monday, February 10, 2025, to a report of a shooting that had occurred the previous night.
The victim told deputies that while at his girlfriend’s residence, she attempted to tase him as he tried to leave.
He fled to his vehicle, and as he was driving away, she allegedly fired a shot, striking his vehicle.
Detectives with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department obtained search and arrest warrants, and the department’s Tactical Team executed the warrants at the suspect’s residence.
The woman was taken into custody without incident.
Marium Bria, 48, of Gauley Bridge, has been charged with Wanton Endangerment and Attempted Murder. She is awaiting further court proceedings.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department reminds the public that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
