FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – FEMA has announced federal disaster assistance for West Virginia to support recovery from severe storms, winds, tornadoes, flooding, landslides, and mudslides from April 2-6, 2024.
Federal funding is available for affected individuals in Boone, Cabell, Fayette, Kanawha, Lincoln, Marshall, Nicholas, Ohio, Putnam, Wayne, and Wetzel counties.
Assistance includes grants for housing and repairs, low-cost loans for uninsured property losses, and other recovery programs.
State, tribal, and eligible local governments and nonprofits in Brooke, Hancock, Marshall, Ohio, Preston, Tyler, and Wetzel counties can also receive funding for emergency work and facility repairs on a cost-sharing basis.
Hazard mitigation funding is available statewide.
