PARKERSBURG, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A narcotics investigation in Parkersburg led to a major drug bust on May 20, 2025, after officers with the Parkersburg Police Department and agents from the Parkersburg Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at 1708 Staunton Avenue.
The warrant was issued following evidence that fentanyl was being distributed from the residence, which is listed as the home of Trina Abbott, who was not present during the search.
Inside the home, officers found multiple indicators of illegal drug activity:
-
Suspected fentanyl was recovered from the bathroom and back porch.
-
Suspected methamphetamine was found in the defendant’s bedroom.
-
Digital scales, used to weigh drugs, were discovered in both the living room and inside Abbott’s purse, which also contained her state ID and credit cards.
-
Hypodermic syringes and burnt foil—both consistent with drug use—were located in multiple rooms.
One man from Akron, Ohio was arrested at the scene for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. He was found hiding in a bathroom with a large sum of cash.
Officers also spoke with several individuals inside the home who claimed they paid Abbott rent to live at the property.
A detailed ledger with drug prices and amounts was found in Abbott’s purse, further tying her to alleged drug trafficking activity. Trina Abbott was arrested for maintaining a dwelling used for the use or distribution of controlled substances.
