PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) — A family dispute escalated into a violent altercation, prompting a police response to an apartment complex behind 415 Mercer Street.
At approximately 4:20 p.m., Cpl. E.D. Leftwich of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the scene following a report of a fight in progress.
Upon arrival, the victim told authorities that his brother, Joe Stephenson, attempted to forcibly enter his apartment and threatened to harm both him and his dog. The victim also reported that Joe had been drinking prior to the incident.
Law enforcement will be seeking warrants against Joe Stephenson for making threats of bodily harm. The investigation remains ongoing.
